Almost no one has ever had a headache. Everyone has to deal with these headaches at least once. Headache is not a disease but a symptom. A number of infections and adverse conditions can cause us to have the flu. Headaches can also be caused by a number of factors. So let's take a look at some of these headaches.

1. Headache is

The part above the neck becomes the head. In that part of the head are located some important organs. The eyes, ears, nose, mouth and most importantly the brain are located in this part of the head. Headache is a severe pain in the head and forehead. This can range from mild painkillers to various serious ailments. The brain controls all the systems in the body. Complications in that part of the brain primarily affect the headache.

2. Steps to check for severe headaches

Techniques are also used to diagnose secondary headaches. A blood test can be done to see if there is an infection. Also, if there is a change in the physical conditions of the brain such as bleeding, swelling, it can be detected through a CT scan. An MRI goes a little deeper and detects changes in the delicate parts of the brain. If there is a case involving the brain and spinal cord, then the cerebrospinal fluid is examined.

3. Migraine condition

Migraine is a bit of a common condition. Medical science has not yet found a cause for migraine or a cure for it. There are several factors that exacerbate the migraine condition. Migraine intensifies through light, loud noise, cold and food. The headache can last from 4 hours to 72 hours. There are painkillers as well as medications to relieve the headache.

4. Causes of headaches according to Ayurveda

As an alternative medicine, Ayurveda says that headaches increase due to wrong habits. Ayurveda states that eating hot and cold foods increases headaches. Also, drinking toddy, alcohol, tea and coffee in hot weather can increase headaches. Ayurveda also mentions misbehavior as a cause of headaches. Ayurveda states that headaches increase due to exposure to extreme cold or dew, mountaineering, being in dusty places, exposure to the sun and not stepping on the ground.

5. Hormonal headaches caused by hormones that are common among women

Women are more prone to headaches near menstruation. This is due to changes in the estrogen hormones that take place in the body. There is nothing wrong with taking a common painkiller like paracetamol for this condition that occurs during or before menstruation. Headaches are also rarely caused by hormonal or other neurological disorders. In those cases it is important to consult a doctor and seek treatment.

6. Sinusitis headache

Sinusitis is a condition caused by the accumulation of mucus-like fluid in parts of the skull. People with sinusitis should use steam to expel mucus from the skull. Also, if the sinusitis is severe, surgery may be needed. Antibiotics can temporarily stop the onset of sinusitis in the morning and winter.

7. Things to tell the doctor

In Sri Lanka we only get a little time to talk to the doctor. If there is a headache, when did it occur? I also want to say how long it has been there. I also need to tell the doctor about some other ailments. Because headaches are a side effect of many other illnesses, such as the flu. It is also important to show the doctor the area or part of the head that is most painful. If you have had a headache in the past, it is important for your doctor to know about it. It is also good to talk about stress because it can increase headaches.

There are aspirin and paracetamol for common headaches. Citrus oils and ointments can also be used to treat skin ailments such as sinusitis. Nowadays, when we have a headache, we have nightmares, "Amo Amo Kovid doesn't know, he doesn't even know he has head cancer." But most headaches are not that bad. However, headaches are not just a disease but a series of illnesses, so if they persist, it is important to see a doctor instead.
