1. Fugu

Therefore, there is a special method of preparing this fish for eating. Fugu is a banned food in the United States and is widely eaten in Japan. 2. Ackee

Like the fugu, it is a dangerous food that is banned in the United States. This fruit is native to Jamaica. It is also considered the national fruit of Jamaica. But this aki fruit is a fruit that can be highly poisonous if eaten when not ripe. Because unripe acai berries contain a toxin called hypoglycin. The seeds of this fruit are poisonous. Poisoning can lead to vomiting, coma, and even death.


3. Sannakji

Sannakji is a Korean dish. This dish is made from a small type of owl called Nakji. In fact, this is a dish that comes and serves the owl raw. Once the owl is killed, it is cut into small pieces and served with sesame oil. However, due to the nerve activity in the owl's claws, the claws are still moving at the time of serving. That's why this food is so dangerous. Because of the movement of these claws, these pieces of food can get stuck in the throat, suffocate, and even reach death. We hear about the deaths caused by this food several times a year.


4. Kidney Beans

Kidney beans, or red beans, are a very nutritious food. These Kidney Beans are only somewhat popular among us in Sri Lanka. What most people don't know is that raw kidney beans contain a toxic chemical called phytohaemagglutinin. Therefore, kidney beans are not good to eat raw and should not be eaten uncooked. Kidney beans should not be eaten unless it has been soaked overnight for more than 10 minutes and then boiled well. Poisoning can lead to vomiting, abdominal pain, and headaches.


5. Casu Meizu

The name of this cheese also means "dirty cheese". This is one of the most infamous cheeses in the world. Popular in Sardinia and the islands of the Mediterranean Islands, this type of cheese is made from sheep's milk, allowing worms to grow on it. However, in some lands, this cheese is banned because it can eat worms. This is because of the fact that this cheese, which is processed in an unhygienic manner, can cause various health risks.
 

6. Rhubarb

You may have also eaten this vegetable grown in the Nuwara Eliya area in Sri Lanka. The leaves of these rhubarb contain a toxin called oxalic. Therefore, it is said that eating too much of these leaves can be life-threatening. But rhubarb leaves are not usually poisonous enough to kill those who eat them. However, eating a small number of rhubarb leaves can cause health problems. Namely, it can cause a sore throat and eye pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, and diarrhea.


7. Hakarl

Hakal is a popular fish dish made in Iceland. Hakal, made from Greenland shark, is a dish that has been stale for as long as the dried fish we eat. After catching this shark, the fish is placed in a small hole, covered with sand and gravel, and left for 2 or 3 months. It is then picked up, cut into pieces, and hung for months to be eaten. This type of shark is extremely poisonous because it is prepared in such a premature manner. It is said that eating hakal, which is not old or dehydrated by mistake, can lead to severe stomach ailments, neurological disorders, and even death.
